Video Content Editing Training Program
Learn professional video editing techniques through hands-on projects and real-world workflows. Our program focuses on practical skills you'll actually use, taught by editors who work in the field every day.
Choose Your Learning Path
We've built two tracks based on what our previous students needed. Pick the one that matches where you're starting from.
Foundation Track
16 weeks / 6 hours per weekStart from scratch and build solid editing fundamentals. You'll learn the core software tools and basic techniques that every video editor needs to know.
- Software navigation and workspace setup

- Audio syncing and simple color correction
- Export settings for different platforms
- Portfolio project development
Advanced Track
20 weeks / 8 hours per weekFor editors who already know the basics but want to level up their skills. We'll work on complex projects and professional workflows used in commercial production.
- Multi-camera editing and sync techniques
- Advanced color grading workflows
- Motion graphics integration
- Client revision management
- Commercial portfolio development
What You'll Actually Learn
Our curriculum changes slightly each cohort based on industry shifts and student feedback. But the core structure stays consistent because these fundamentals don't really change.
Weeks 1-4: Software Mastery
Get comfortable with your editing software. We use industry-standard tools and focus on building muscle memory for common tasks.
Weeks 5-8: Editorial Techniques
Learn pacing, rhythm, and storytelling through cuts. This is where editing becomes more than just technical work.
Weeks 9-12: Audio and Color
Sound design basics and color correction principles. These skills separate amateur work from professional output.
Weeks 13-16: Client Projects
Work on simulated client briefs with feedback rounds. You'll learn how to handle revisions and manage expectations.
Final Weeks: Portfolio Build
Create a showcase reel and project case studies. We'll help you present your work in a way that makes sense to potential clients or employers.
How We Teach
We've tried different teaching methods over the years. This approach came from watching what actually helped students improve versus what just filled class time.
Project-Based Learning
Every week includes a practical assignment. No theory-only sessions. You'll edit real footage and get specific feedback on your decisions.
Peer Review Sessions
Learning to critique other people's work makes you better at seeing issues in your own. Plus you'll discover different approaches to solving the same editing challenge.
Guest Editor Workshops
Working editors visit throughout the program to share their current projects and workflows. It's useful to see how different people approach the same software.
Open Studio Hours
Access our editing suites outside of class time. Some students prefer working late at night, others want to practice on weekends. The space is available when you need it.
Upcoming Cohorts
We run small groups so everyone gets attention. Class sizes typically stay around 12-15 students per instructor.
