How Our Video Editing Process Works
We've spent years refining a straightforward workflow that turns raw footage into polished content. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you send us your files to final delivery.
Four Clear Steps to Better Video Content
Most projects follow this path. Some need extra rounds of feedback, others move faster. But the basic structure stays consistent because it actually works.
Upload & Brief
Send us your footage through our secure transfer system. Include a brief explaining what you're going for—tone, pacing, any specific moments you want highlighted. The more detail here, the smoother everything goes later.
Initial Assembly
We organize your clips, trim the obvious fluff, and build a rough cut that follows your brief. This usually takes 2-3 business days depending on project complexity. You'll get a preview link to review the structure.
Refinement Round
After you review the first cut, we adjust based on your feedback. Timing changes, different music, color corrections—whatever needs tweaking. Most projects need one or two revision cycles to get everything right.
Final Export
Once you approve the final version, we export in whatever format and resolution you need. You get the finished file plus project backups. Turnaround from approval to delivery is typically within 24 hours.
What Actually Happens During Editing
- Footage gets organized by scene and quality—unusable clips get flagged early
- Audio levels balanced so dialogue stays clear and music doesn't overpower
- Color correction applied for consistency across different camera sources
- Transitions added where they make sense, not just for decoration
- Graphics and text overlays integrated if your brief calls for them
- Multiple format exports prepared for different platforms when needed
Behind the Scenes: Tools & Techniques
We use professional-grade software and some specific approaches we've developed over years of client work. Nothing revolutionary, just solid technique applied consistently.
Software & Hardware We Rely On
Our editors work with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve depending on project requirements. Color work gets done in Resolve because the tools are frankly better. Workstations run on calibrated monitors—actual color accuracy matters when you're making decisions that affect final output.
